CHOCOLATE CHIPS BANANA BREAD

Chocolate Chips Banana Bread has become my favorite lately. I love to have the homemade Banana Bread along with my evening tea or coffee. The banana bread baked by me at home is extremely delicious and soft too. I have been baking banana breads for not so long but yes I do love the recipe I follow.

Few months back, I had posted another Banana Bread recipe which was Choco Chips Walnut Banana Bread. That variant of Banana Bread is my favorite too because the walnuts gave enough crunch to the bread and the choco chips made the bread enough chocolatey.

In this blog, I am sharing the recipe of choco chips banana bread. Choco chips makes the bread chocolatey enough for all the chocolate lovers out there. If you are a banana lover, then you should definitely try out this amazing recipe. I hope you will love it !!

CHOCOLATE CHIPS BANANA BREAD

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Ripe Bananas

  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/2 cup Powdered Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk

  • 2 cups Plain Flour/ Maida

  • 1 tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

  • 1/2 + 1/4 cups Chocolate Chips

Directions

  • In the bowl, take the ripe bananas and mash it well using a fork or a potato masher. Mash the bananas till there are not large lumps of the bananas.
  • In the same bowl, add the brown sugar, whisk well till the sugar melts. Then add the egg in batches and whisk well.now add the melted butter. Give it a nice mix. Then add the buttermilk. Mix and mix. Also add the vanilla essence to the wet ingredients. Keep it aside.
  • In another bowl, sift the plain flour. Then add salt, baking powder and baking soda. Give the dry ingredients a nice mix to let all the dry ingredients incorporate well.
  • To the wet ingredients mixture, add the dry ingredients in batches. Gently fold in the dry ingredients. Please make sure not to over mix the batter. Mix till the dry ingredients are just well incorporated.
  • To the banana bread batter, now add 1/2 cup of the choco chips. Mix well. Then pour the batter into the greased and lined bread mould. Even the top with a spatula and then sprinkle the remaining choco chips over the batter.
  • Bake the bread in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for 50-60 minutes or till the skewer comes out clean. Once the bread is baked well, keep it aside for 10 minutes. Then demould it and let it cool completely over the cooling rack. Cut it into slices and serve.

Notes

  • If you like a plain banana bread, then use the same recipe to make one without adding the choco chips to the banana bread batter.
