CRUNCHY DELICIOUS CHICKEN CHEESE FINGERS

Chicken Cheese Fingers are one of my favorite fried snacks for evening. It is a finger shaped fried snacks with cheesy flavor. It is made up of chicken mince mixed with few spices and grated cheese. In this blog I will be sharing the recipe of my favorite fried snacks Chicken Cheese Fingers.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 15 Chicken Fingers

Ingredients:

Minced Chicken                                                           300g

Chopped Garlic                                                            ½ tbsp

Chopped Ginger                                                 ½ tbsp

Grated Mozzarella/ Processed Cheese                     1 cup

Black Pepper Powder                                                  1 tsp

Red Chili Powder                                                          1 tsp

Mixed Dry Italian Herbs                                              1 ½ tsp

Salt to Taste

Crushed Cornflakes                                                      2 cups

Plain Flour/ Maida                                                       4 tbsp

Water                                                                            ½ cup

Oil to fry as required

Directions:         

  1. Take the minced chicken in a big bowl. To the chicken add the chopped garlic-ginger, black pepper powder, red chili powder, mix dry herbs, salt to taste and mix well till well incorporated. Then add the grated cheese and give the mixture a thorough mix. Keep it aside for some time.
  2. Take another bowl of smaller size, add the plain flour and water to it. Mix will till lump free and make thick slurry.  Add a pinch of salt to taste. Keep it aside.
  3. Take tray and spread the crushed cornflakes on it. Now take small portions of the chicken cheese mixture in your hand and roll it to make small finger shaped-sized pieces. Keep it aside.
  4. Now take the chicken fingers, dip it into the flour slurry, and coat it well. Then roll the chicken fingers on the crushed cornflakes to cover the whole of the chicken fingers. If you wish you can double coat the chicken fingers with cornflakes to make it crunchier. Keep it aside.    
  5. Repeat process till all the chicken fingers are coated well. You can also store the chicken fingers into the fridge in a zip lock bag up to 2 weeks.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Once heated well, shallow fry or deep fry according to your choices. Fry the chicken cheese fingers till golden brown. Serve hot with sauce/chutney of your choice.
A perfect option for the snacks or starters: Crunchy cheesy chicken cheese fingers.

Tips: You can even coat the chicken cheese fingers with the breadcrumbs. Also you can use any cheese of your choice.
