REFRESHING MANGO MINT SMOOTHIE

It was a usual day; I went out for shopping with my friend. After the shopping we stopped by a restaurant to have the lunch. While I was going through the menu I stopped at beverages and ordered Mango Mint Smoothie. It was my first time, I was curious how would it taste. To my amazement it was very tasty and refreshing after the hectic day. I wondered how it was made and the very next day I tried it out by guessing the ingredients. To my surprise it turned out to taste exactly like the smoothie served at the restaurant. In this blog I’ll be sharing my recipe of Mango Mint Smoothie. As its summer, what a healthy way it would be to start a day with this yummy refreshing smoothie. It’s for all the mango lovers out there.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 0

Serves: 04

Course: Beverage

Ingredients:

Sliced Ripe Mango Pulp                                              3 cups

Milk                                                                               2 cups

Yogurt/ Curd                                                                 1 cup

Honey                                                                           ¼ cup

Fresh Mint Leaves                                                        5-6

Directions:

  1. Take a blender jar, to it add the sliced mango pulp and fresh mint leaves. Blend it till smooth and fine.
  2. To the mango-mint paste, add the milk, yogurt, honey and blend it till well incorporated.
  3. Chill the smoothie in the fridge for some time.
  4. Serve the smoothie chilled and garnished with some fresh mint leaves.

Tips: 1. One can skip adding honey if Mango is sweet enough.

2. One can even add sugar instead of honey according to the taste.

3. If you have to serve the smoothie instantly then use chilled mango pulp, chilled milk and chilled yogurt/ curd.

4. Mango mint smoothie is a healthy option for breakfast. One can store the fresh mango’s pulp in the freezer and use it daily to make mango mint smoothie for breakfast.

5. One can even use canned mangoes if fresh ripe mangoes are not available. I prefer using fresh ripe mangoes because it gives a different taste to the smoothie. In this smoothie recipe, I’ve use Himsagar mangoes of Bengal.
