Pizza is one of the most famous savory dishes of Italian origin. Pizza is famous all over the world. It usually consists of a round flattened dough base topped with tomato sauce, cheese and Italian herb seasoning baked at higher temperature. Every part of the world has their versions of pizza toppings. In this blog I’ll share the vegetarian pizza recipe with vegetarian topping. I’ve topped the pizza with paneer tikka and few veggies. In this blog I’ve baked the pizza without using the oven.

Ingredients:
For the base:
Plain Flour 1 ½ cups
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt a pinch
Dry Yeast 1 ½ tsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Water as required
For the Topping:
Paneer Tikka Cubes 1 ½ cups
Capsicum Slices ½ cup
Onion Slices ½ cup
Sweet Corns ¼ cup
Pizza Sauce ½ cup
Mozzarella Cheese ½ cup
Processed Cheese Slices 2
Dry Italian Herbs 2 tsp
Directions:
- For the Base: Take 1 cup of lukewarm water, add sugar to it and add dry yeast to the water. Stir well and keep the yeast water mixture aside for 10-15 minutes. Let the dry yeast activate.
- Take the plain flour in a bowl; add salt to taste and 2 tbsp of oil to the flour. Mix well with your hand and add the yeast water mixture to the plain flour and knead to just combine the flour. Don’t knead too much, only till the flour and yeast water mixture combines.
- Dust the working surface with hand full of flour and knead the dough on a flat surface. The best way to knead a perfect pizza dough is to knead the dough for 15 minutes.
- Grease the bowl with oil and place the kneaded dough into the bowl. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and keep it aside to rise for at least an hour or 24 hours.
- Topping the Pizza: Punch down the dough, take it out on a clean surface and knead the dough for another minute or so. Cut the dough into two equal halves.
- Take one half of the dough; tuck it inside from the sides. Keep the dough aside covered with a damp towel for another 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, take the dough and spread it using your finger tips into a flat round shape. Place it on the greased and dusted cake tin or pizza pan. Make a dent on the sides and punch the dough with a fork.
- Spread the pizza sauce on the flattened pizza dough, sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese and place few pieces of processed cheese slices also.
- Now top the pizza with paneer tikka cubes, capsicum slices, onion slices and few sweet corns. Sprinkle 1 tsp of dry Italian herbs and the pizza is ready to be baked.
- To bake the Pizza: Take a deep pan/ kadhai with a lid. Put 2 cups of salt on the base of the pan and place a steel rack above the salt. Cover the pan with the lid and pre-heat the pan on high heat for 5 minutes on a gas stove. After 5 minutes, place the pizza inside the heated pan, cover with lid and bake the pizza on high heat for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, when the pizza is baked well then serve the pizza hot, sliced using a knife or pizza cutter.
- Repeat the same process to make another paneer tikka pizza out of the second half of the pizza dough and remaining topping ingredients.
