HUNG CURD FRUIT SALAD

 Summer is here and we all want to have something refreshing in the evening for snacks. Here is a healthy instant snacks option using hung curd. I’ve been using this recipe since my high school and love it because it contains my favorite fresh fruits. One can use fresh fruits of their own choice. It is easy to make that’s why it’s my favorite snack.

Ingredients:

Hung Curd                                                           1 ½ Cup

Powdered Sugar                                                 1 ½ tbsp

Chopped Banana                                                ¼ cup

Chopped Strawberries                                       ¼ cup

Chopped Grapes                                                 ¼ cup

Pomegranate Seeds                                           ¼ cups

Mint Leaves                                                        6-8

Directions:

  1. To make hung curd: Strain off the curd using a muslin cloth. Tie the curd in the muslin cloth and hang it over the sink to let the excess water seep away. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Hung curd simply refers to the thick curd without water which is obtained by hanging curd in a muslin cloth.
  3. After 30 minutes take the hung curd in a bowl. Add the powdered sugar and whisk it till well blended. Make a smooth mix.
  4. Add all the chopped fruits to the curd sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Pop it into the fridge for some time. Garnish with chopped mint leaves and serve chilled.

Note: One can use fresh fruits according to one’s own choice and according to the availability of seasonal fruits.
